About the Journal

Biologia Serbica (BS) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research papers, short communications and mini reviews covering all of the disciplines encompassed within the broader field of biology, ecology and biomedicine. 

The editorial board members of Biologia Serbica have been carefully chosen to ensure the success and continued improvement of this journal. All editorial board members are distinguished, internationally known scientists from respected universities and research organisations.

Biologia Serbica maintains the scientific credibility by setting high scientific standards through a rigorous peer-review process and strict ethical policies. We strictly follow and apply all recommendations and policies of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

In addition to this, with the online-first policy we aim to publish all articles using a continuous publication model and thus making all accepted and finalised manuscripts immediately citable. Along with the online archiving and information on article downloads, each complete volume of the Biologia Serbica will be available bound in print form at the Department of Biology and Ecology, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad (www.dbe.uns.ac.rs, www.pmf.uns.ac.rs).

Finally, a call to our readership: The success of Biologia Serbica heavily relies on you! Together with the Executive Editorial Board and Editorial Board, we would like to personally invite all of you to contribute your best research for consideration for publication in our journal.
