Abstract

This review summarizes literature published from 1954-2013 on the characterization and biological activities of isolated compounds or crude extracts from thirteen different plants of the genus Ornithogalum L. (Hyacinthaceae, Asparagales). Mechanisms of action and structure activity relationships are briefly discussed.
